Nikola Tesla

Tribute to a man who invented 20th century

He was a man who possessed an incredible fire of genius. Today he is much forgotten by the ungrateful. Flamboyant, eccentric almost supernaturally gifted, had he been born today he would still be a way ahead of his time.
He was a trailblazer who created astonishing world transforming devices, often without theoretical precedent. It was Tesla who invented the alternating current we use today..
Tesla who actually invented radio.. Tesla who invented fluorescent lighting.
He introduced us to the fundamentals of robotry, computer, and missile science. He was the first ever to use remotely controlled device steered by radio transmission.
He would surely turn over in his grave if he knew that such remotely controlled cruise missiles were used against his homeland Serbia exactly one century later in an unbelievable twist of fate to defeat the tyrant of the Balkans. ( Tesla was born in Croatia but his parents were  of Serbian descent, hence Tesla always felt himself to be a Serb )
It is almost certain that you would never read this text on your computer if it were not for the visionary genius of Nikola Tesla because the computers would not yet exist.
Born on the stroke of midnight
between July 9 and 10 in 1856
in the village of Smiljan, Croatia
Died at night between January 7 and 8
in 1943 in his New York hotel room

Two Decades Of Invention
He was a  genius of the last two closing decades in the 19th century and his inventive frenzy continued  into 20th century. Nevertheless, Tesla's golden years were the two decades between 1880 and 1900.

He invented the electrical system that today powers the world. He devised the electric motor that turns everything from your kitchen refrigerator to the machines of industry. He dared to call Thomas Edison wrong at the height of Edison's career, then proceeded to demolish Edison's electrical system an substitute his own.
In an absolutely incredible two decade frenzy of discovery and development, he laid the basis for the radio, remote control as now used on missiles and drone airplanes, medical diathermy, X ray equipment and many other devices. He was the owner of 700 patents that have shaped the world as it exists today.

He was frequently an impractical dreamer too, a supreme egoist who was wrong as often as he was right In old age he became a genuine eccentric. The world of his last days was not kind to him. While the others were making billions of dollars from his inventions, he died alone and penniless in New York hotel room in January 8, 1943. He survived his last years on a stipend sent by Yugoslav government. Thanks to his inventive contribution, United States became an industrial mega power. Those who heavily benefited from his inventions were trying to  contribute to his pension at the dawn of his life, however,  Tesla refused all help, saying;
"I don't need help but difficulties. The harder the better. I work the best when in trouble."

Credit Is Long Overdue
Today's world is even more ungrateful to this great man than the world of his day. Incredibly, even though everyone in modern society today, without exception, uses Tesla's inventions on daily basis, only a few know who he was.
Terrible historical travesty is committed by educational establishments who omit to include Tesla in school books so the children can learn  the truth.

Smithsonian institution  and school books are glorifying Thomas Edison as the King of electricity. Tesla is hardly ever mentioned and the truth is it was Tesla who is the real King of electric system used today.

Further unbelievable injustice to Tesla was committed by the media just this last year of the millennia. The "Biography" was profiling 100 greatest contributors of our millennia.
The entertainer Michael Jackson and Madona were profiled, however, Nikola Tesla did not even take the back seat to them. He was completely forgotten. How can this world allow this to happen?? How can the world who uses Tesla's inventions daily on a grand scale think that Jackson's or Madona's contributions were more important. If it was not for Tesla the world as we know it would not be where it is at present and it is very doubtful if Jackson or Madona would be the entertainers in a much more backward world that would surely exist without a man called Nikola Tesla.

Salutation
Those of us who took the time to know Nikola Tesla and his incredible contribution to our millennia know better.

We salute you Mr. Tesla for giving us the three phase AC power system which powers the entire world, and for giving us the induction electric motor that makes everything turn in our homes and industry.
We salute you for giving us the basis for tuned radio transmission which led to the development of radio and and eventually television as we know them today.
We salute you for giving us the basis that  led to development of computers and induction coil that ignites fuel in our automobiles.
We salute you for setting the basis of remote control that led to development of hundreds peaceful uses from telecommunications to children toys. Unfortunately your visionary genius also led to the development of precision weapons, guided by radio and computers, the weapons on which the security of our nation  is relied upon.

Absolution
Our generation has badly failed you in your deserved recognition  of your massive contribution to the last century of our millennia. Credit to you is long overdue.
Perhaps the generations of the next millennia will be less brainwashed and better educated about the true history of our world.
